Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS These general terms & conditions regulate relations between the travel agency PAUL MARIE TRAVEL as an excursion organizer or selling tours organized by others (hereinafter: the Agency or Paul Marie) and passengers regarding the organization of an excursion. PRICES & ITINERARY Changes to your excursion: all excursions are subject to change without notice. Descriptions, departure times, itineraries, pricing and locations are correct at the time of publication and may be altered and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Descriptions and excursion lengths are all based on approximate times and predetermined points of interest. Changes may happen before or during your excursion which are unavoidable and can be made at our sole discretion. CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS It goes without saying that we’ll do our best to make sure your excursion goes according to plan. But when circumstances are beyond our control we sometimes have to amend or cancel excursions without warning. These include but are not limited to… Insufficient demand. Most of our excursions need a minimum number of participants to go ahead. So, if we don’t get enough bookings we may have to amend or cancel your excursion. Local or national holidays. During public holidays, access to certain facilities – such as museums, archaeological and religious sites – may be restricted. Unexpected queues or traffic delays – Whilst this will be out of our control we’ll do our best, where possible, to minimize any inconvenience caused. Popular sights – these can sometimes get a bit overcrowded. When that happens, we’ll do our best where possible to run the excursion in a different order to minimize inconvenience and enhance your experience. Weather We operate our excursions come rain or shine, however at times we will be forced to amend or cancel a particular excursion due to weather-related safety considerations. If your tour is cancelled by us, we will give you a full refund. PAYMENT Payment will be made at our office or in your hotel when we deliver the tickets or on board, only by cash. Extras will be paid on spot. CHILDREN As for the excursion prices and usually for the extras: infants under 4 years old go free; however do not occupy a seat, children between 4-12 years old receive a discount of 50% of the price. In case that there is a difference about it, it will be mentioned in the description of the tour. Any passengers under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by someone over 18 years old. DEPARTURE LOCATION & TIME The specific pick up point will be described (and mapped, where it’s possible) on your ticket, as well as the departure time from it. Once you received your ticket, your booking is finalized and confirmed. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS & TICKETS Once you have completed your online booking, we will send you your reconfirmation voucher. Once received, please print your ticket, as you will need to hand this over to your tour guide or driver at the pickup point. The tickets include important and specific information about your tour as the meeting location, the pickup time, the amount of payment and the extras. Please read your tickets carefully. If you do not have a printer, please make sure to bring a saved copy with your mobile device. Your reservation may take up to 24-48 hours to process. Once this process is complete, you will receive your tickets via the email address you provide. PERSONAL POSSESSIONS We will not be responsible for personal possessions. Do not leave your possessions unattended at any time, either in the vehicles/boats in which you are travelling or otherwise. RESTRICTIONS On your excursion it is necessary that you follow all reasonable instructions of the leader. If you commit any illegal act when on an excursion or in the reasonable opinion of the leader your behavior is disruptive, threatening or abusive, causes or likely to cause danger, and/or detrimental to or incompatible with the interests, comfort, well-being or harmony of the group and/or others we will require you to withdraw from the excursion at any time. In the event you are withdrawn from an excursion you will be responsible for the cost of returning to your hotel. In any of these circumstances no refunds or compensation will be paid to you and we may make a claim against you for any costs and expenses incurred as a result of your behavior. Criminal proceedings may also be instigated. We reserve the right to amend or cancel excursions to meet local conditions for participant safety and convenience. We will not compensate you for disappointment in circumstances caused by events beyond our control which makes it impossible for us to provide services as intended. We will take no responsibility for the acts or omissions of 3rd parties including but not limited to owners or those in control of any sites or property visited whilst on an excursion. INSURANCE COVERAGE We provide our customers insurance coverage on our tours. Customers are insured from the moment they get on the bus in the morning until the end of the trip, inside the bus. Generally liability insurance includes: personal injuries for each person, material damages of third parties for each accident or series of accident that have the same cause, each group accident, whoever the beneficiaries are. The insurance also covers any personal harm to third parties or customers due to food poisoning from the consumption of food or beverages during the trip, provided that it occurs in at least three (3) people from the same cause and with the same symptoms. *By definition, these insurances do not cover cases of pandemic and so, there is no issue of civil liability for our company in case of an accident as long as all health protocols are observed.
